Monolith kubrick is back
Sculpture: Steel and Spray Paint on Stainless Steel and Other.
“Monolith in Kubrick’s back” is a sculpture that is part of the collection “Condensation and dispersion of matter,” The intent is to explore the boundary between the presence and absence of matter, enhancing the contrast between smooth and reflective surfaces with other broken, uneven , scabrore and bristling. The intent is to imagine the monolith Kubrick (recurrent figure in Kubrick’s films and then taken up by Christopher Nolan) to return from the future. His journey through time has disrupted and twisted its forms and one can see his inner nature. The monolith thus proves also to be vulnerable in the face of time, and becomes a ruin / arheological artifact from the future.
