Sculpture: Metal on Iron.

Andromeda awaits you (Star woman) is part of the “condensation dispersion of matter” sculpture cycle. These metal sculptures (in this case, stainless steel base, steel sculpture body) are intended and imagined by me as archaeological finds from the future. These slender and athletic figures are the result of an archaic and futuristic figure and value at the same time. Andromeda is our evolution and awaits us on some remote planet in the universe. From a technical point of view, the sculpture is the result of an assembly and processing of thousands of filiform and cylindrical steel elements with approximately double the number of welds. The voids and solids are dosed and the material is thickened more in the points that I want to highlight the most for the drawing of the figure or to create reflections in the points that will be most easily hit by the light (therefore the areas exposed to the zenith light, shoulders, breasts, abdomen, buttocks, calves, hips, back of the feet) This recent sculpture is the highest level achieved in the precision and definition of this cycle of sculptures. Very beautiful in the total design, but very fascinating the live view of every single portion. The apparently random assembly of the elements has something of a connection to jazz music. Everything seems to have a random direction but every single element becomes fundamental for the total design and could only have that precise connotation. Andromeda moves in a decisive way but the position of the hands outline a courageous but cautious and aware of dangers advance.
